Generators are pieces of code that create new objects based on data it reads in Infrahub. Infrahub Generators are modular. Each one owns exactly one layer of your build, such as a fabric, pod, or rack.

One layer at a time: Each Generator is small enough to understand, test, and debug in isolation without running the full cascade.
Parallel execution at every layer: A fabric with 8 pods and 32 racks per pod generates all at once, not sequentially.
Surgical Day 2 changes: Add a spine to a pod, and only that pod’s Generator reruns. No blast radius, no rebuilding from scratch.
