#SOS Support Open Source
It’s easy to forget how much we rely on open source.
It’s harder to ask ourselves, Are we doing our part to keep it alive?
Continuing the #SOS campaign we started at AutoCon 3, OpsMill is again collecting support for three open source projects related to network automation:
- NetMiko
- Peering Manager
- Jinja2
Register your business email below and we’ll put $5 in the donation pot for these projects. Our goal is to hit a minimum of USD$2,000.
The idea behind #SOS
Our industry stands on the shoulders of individuals that put a lot of their personal time into maintaining critical projects.
They don’t complain, they don’t ask for anything, and they do it all of their own free will.
Unfortunately too many projects go unmaintained because it becomes too big of an effort for those lone individuals.
As a community, we’re only as strong as the foundations we rely on. And that’s why it’s so important to help keep those foundations healthy and maintained.
If you use open source, consider giving back. There are many ways to help: through code contributions, funding, documentation, or simply spreading the word.
